Assistant Art Gallery Administrator at The James Black Gallery
The James Black Gallery is a queer-led arts & culture hub dedicated to giving a voice to emerging artists in Vancouver, providing space for community engagement, and experimental multidisciplinary art practices. We offer studio & gallery space with a focus on being responsive to the ever shifting needs of our community. The James Black Gallery operates in the colonially known Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver, BC located on the unceded, ancestral & traditional territories of the MST peoples.

The James Black Gallery has been approved for one 12 week mentorship at $320/wk. This is a paid role provided by the government of Canada to support skill-building in the nonprofit arts sector. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. This program requires the applicant to be between the ages of 15 and 30 with legal status to work in Canada.
The assistant art gallery administrator will help support the running of events, social media, keeping the gallery organized and tidy, attend meetings, and gallery grant application processes.
